For US sellers on Etsy, Shopify & Amazon

Your product is ready for Europe. Your listing isn't.

Translation makes your listing readable. It does not make it findable, and it does not make it persuasive. We rewrite it in German, French and Spanish the way a seller who lives there would — around the search terms local buyers actually type.

One of your real listings, localized in 48 hours. No card, no call.

What machine translation got wrong

  • Hackbrett

In German a Hackbrett is a stringed instrument — a dulcimer. Buyers search for Servierbrett, or simply Schneidebrett.

  • Hauswärmungsgeschenk

This word does not exist. The concept does, and it is heavily searched, but it is called Einzugsgeschenk.

  • Kundenspezifisch

Industrial procurement language meaning customer-specific. On a gift listing it reads like a B2B tender. Germans search personalisiert or mit Gravur.

Highlighted terms are researched search keywords for that market.

Why translated listings underperform

Machine translation is grammatically correct and commercially dead.

It converts words. It does not convert buyers. Three specific things break, every time, and none of them look like errors to someone who does not speak the language.

  1. 01

Nobody searches for what it says

Translation converts your English keyword into a correct word that has no search volume. Your listing becomes technically present and practically unreachable — it ranks for a phrase no buyer ever types.

Keyword equivalence is a myth. Search demand does not translate.

  2. 02

The register is wrong for the market

American marketplace copy is warm, exclamatory and benefit-led. German product copy is specification-led. French copy is precise and material-first. Translate the tone directly and you read as cheap in exactly the markets that pay for quality.

Buyers can't articulate why it feels off. They just don't buy.

  3. 03

    It quietly breaks marketplace rules

German compound nouns run 30–40% longer than English, so translated titles overshoot Amazon character limits and get truncated mid-word. Etsy tags are capped at 20 characters — a translated tag that exceeds it is silently dropped, and nothing tells you.

No error message. Just fewer impressions than you had before.

What we actually do

Four things, in this order.

This is a copywriting and search job, not a language job. Here is the whole method — there is nothing hidden behind it.

01

Market keyword research first

Before a single line is written, we build the keyword set for your product in that language and on that specific marketplace. Search demand in Germany is not the German translation of search demand in the US — it is a different list, in a different order.

  • Per language and per marketplace, not one shared list
  • Volume and competition checked, not guessed
  • Long-tail gift and occasion terms included
02

Written by sellers, not translators

Every rewrite is done by someone who writes commercial copy in that language natively and knows the marketplace from the seller side. They are briefed on your product, your materials and your buyer — then they write a listing from scratch.

  • Native-level commercial copywriting
  • Marketplace experience, not just language skill
  • Your brand voice adapted, not flattened
03

Built to marketplace rules

Every field is written against the real constraints of the platform: title length, tag character caps, prohibited terms, required attributes, bullet structure. The listing arrives ready to paste, not ready to fix.

  • Amazon title, bullet and backend keyword limits
  • Etsy 13 tags × 20 characters, honoured exactly
  • Attribute and category fields filled in
04

Culturally and commercially adapted

Units become metric. Sizes become EU sizes. Materials get the names local buyers recognise. Gift occasions get mapped to the ones that exist in that country — and the ones that don't, get replaced with the ones that do.

  • Metric units, EU sizing, local material names
  • Local gift occasions and seasonal peaks
  • Shipping, VAT and returns expectations addressed

How it runs

From your export to a published listing.

Four steps. You are involved in two of them.

  1. 1

    Send one listing

A link, or a CSV export. We look at the product, the photos and how you currently sell it in English.

    5 minutes of your time

  2. 2

    We research the market

We build the keyword set for your product in the target language and marketplace, and identify what local competitors rank for.

    1–2 days

  3. 3

    We rewrite the listing

Title, tags, description, bullets and attributes — written from scratch in the target language, against platform limits.

    2–3 days

  4. 4

    You publish, we follow up

You paste it in. We check impressions and conversion after 30 days, and revise once at no cost if it needs it.

    30-day follow-up included

Where we work

Three markets. Three different jobs.

We deliberately do not offer twenty languages. These three cover the majority of EU marketplace demand, and we know them properly.

Germany

de
Why this market
The largest e-commerce market in the EU and the one US sellers reach for first. Buyers pay for quality and read the entire description before buying.
What's different here
Specification-led copy. Buyers want materials, dimensions, origin and care instructions stated plainly. Enthusiasm without detail reads as evasive. Compound nouns break your title limits.

Strongest categories

  • Home & living
  • Handmade gifts
  • Kitchen & dining
  • Stationery

France

fr
Why this market
A strong market for design-led and handmade products, with buyers who respond to craft, provenance and material honesty.
What's different here
Precise, restrained register. Material and technique come first, emotion second. Direct translation of American enthusiasm reads as inflated and lowers perceived quality.

Strongest categories

  • Jewellery
  • Home décor
  • Art & prints
  • Ceramics

Spain

es
Why this market
Fast-growing marketplace demand and far less US-seller competition than Germany, so well-written listings rank quickly.
What's different here
Peninsular Spanish is not Latin American Spanish. Half the vocabulary in a default translation is regionally wrong, which immediately signals a foreign seller.

Strongest categories

  • Gifts & personalised
  • Fashion accessories
  • Home textiles
  • Celebrations

Verification

Check the work before you pay for it.

We are new. Rather than show you numbers from customers you cannot call, here are three things you can verify yourself, right now, without speaking to us.

  1. 01

This site is the work sample

Switch it to German, French or Spanish. Every version was written by the same native sellers who would write your listings, and not one line of it is machine translated. If you read any of those languages, you already know what you would be buying.

  2. 02

    The comparison above is checkable

One real Etsy listing, three real failure modes, and the platform's actual field limits — 140 characters for a title, 20 per tag. Count them. The machine-translated versions overflow; the rewritten ones do not.

  3. 03

Then judge it on your own listing

Send one listing and one target market. It comes back localized within 48 hours, with the keyword research attached so you can see why every line reads the way it does. No card, no call, no obligation once it lands.

Questions

The things sellers ask before they start.

How is this different from the automatic translation Etsy and Amazon already provide?

Those systems translate your English listing word by word, including your keywords. The result is a listing that ranks for translated phrases rather than searched ones, in a tone that reads as foreign. We do not translate your listing at all — we research what buyers in that market search for, then write a new listing around those terms.

Who actually writes the copy?

Native commercial copywriters who sell, or have sold, on the same marketplace in that country. Language fluency alone is not enough — someone who has never written a listing does not know that Etsy caps tags at 20 characters, or which German gift occasions have real search volume in November.

Do I need to supply the keywords?

No, and we would rather you didn't. Keyword research in the target market is the first step of the work and the part that most determines the outcome. If you do have data — search terms reports, ad keywords — send it, and we'll use it as an input.

What do you need from me to start?

A link to the listing, or a CSV export. That's it. If your product has technical detail that isn't in the current listing — materials, dimensions, production method — send that too, because German and French buyers will look for it.

How long does it take?

The free sample comes back in 48 hours. Ongoing work runs 3–5 business days per batch, depending on size. Catalogue migrations are scheduled with you in advance.

What if the result isn't right?

One revision is included in every listing, and we check performance 30 days after you publish. If a listing underperforms its previous 30 days in the same market, we rewrite it at no cost.

Do you handle images, infographics and A+ content?

We write the text for image overlays, A+ modules and infographics, and mark exactly where each line goes. We do not do the graphic production itself — your designer or ours applies it.

Which marketplaces do you support?

Etsy, Shopify and Amazon, in Germany, France and Spain. If you sell somewhere else in the EU, tell us — we will say honestly whether we can do it well rather than take the work.
